The ISGPP Readers Club is led by the prolific writer, Prof Olabode Lucas and is one of the mechanisms through which the school engages the public. Beyond promoting the culture of reading books, the club through her events strives to provide platforms to interrogate the information and knowledge gaps in Nigeria’s future possibilities, leveraging problem-solving documented ideas, frameworks, models, paradigms and researched insights, to deepen issues and conversation that have critical bearing on the Nigerian and African condition.

In addition to promoting the reading culture, the Book Reading Series, is aimed at bringing together authors, scholars, academics and lay readers who will actively participate and generate cogent ideas that raise the bar of policy discussions in the country and could be deployed into policy dialogues.

We have taken before now, such thought-provoking texts as Odia Ofeimun’s Taking Nigeria Seriously; Bishop Hassan Kukah’s Witness to Justice; Prof. Richard Joseph’s Prebendalism; Prof. Femi Mimiko’s Getting our Universities Back; and Richard Bourne’s Nigeria: A New History of a Turbulent Century.
