Prof Akin Mabogunje CON, NNOM, CFR

Professor Mabogunje (ALM) started his professional career as a lecturer at the University of Ibadan in 1958. He became a senior lecturer in 1964 and a professor of Geography in 1965. Later on, he was Head of Department of Geography (1972-1975); Dean Faculty of the Social Sciences (1968-1970) and Director, Planning Studies Programme (1972- 1981). At the professional level, Professor Mabogunje was Editor of the Nigerian Geographical Journal (1962-65); Editor, Oxford University Press series on studies on the Development of African Resources; President, Nigeria Geographical Association (1972- 1982); Vice-President, Nigerian Ecological Society (1973-79); President, National Council Population Activities (1986-1992); and Executive Chairman, Development Policy Centre, Ibadan (1996-2000). This distinguished scholar, the ‘Father’ of Geography and one of the Fathers of the Social Sciences in Nigeria, has served government in many capacities and is the recipient of about 20 Honours in various academic, professional and administrative fields both at the national and international levels.

Dr Tunji Olaopa

 

Dr Olaopa is a University of Ibadan trained political scientist and holds a doctorate degree in public administration. He retired from the Nigerian Federal Civil Service as Permanent Secretary in 2015. A seasoned researcher, trainer, management consultant, prolific writer and public service reform expert, he has utilised his extensive theoretical knowledge and critical expert-insider experiences extensively, making profound scholarly contributions in the form of books, papers, journal articles, monographs, newspaper columns and articles.

Prof Pat Utomi

Patrick Okedinachi Utomi is a professor of political economy and A management expert. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria. He was chief executive officer, Utomapp Holdings Limited and Deputy MD, Volkswagen of Nigeria Limited, Lagos State, Nigeria. He was scholar-in-residence, American University, Washington DC, USA, and research associate, the Harvard Business School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He coordinated the establishment of several civil society groups such as Transparency in Nigeria, the Centre for Values in Leadership, the Concerned Professionals, and the Restoration Group. In the business sphere, Prof. Utomi was the vice-chairman, Platinium–Habib Bank.)

Prof Bayo Okunade

He has a doctorate in Political Science and an LL.M (International Human Rights Law) at the University of Ibadan and the Centre for Human Rights Law, Department of Law, and University of Essex respectively. An Associate Member of eSTEeM Network (International Perspectives on the Development of Distance Learning), he also possesses proficiency Certificates of/on the International Institute of Human Rights, Strasbourg; International Centre for University Human Rights, Teaching, Human Rights Procedures, African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies, Banjul, The Gambia (1991); Teaching and Learning at Higher Education in the UK’ at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE); and Certificate in ‘Lecturing Skills’ at LSE. He is widely traveled and was cited in the List of Experts by the Political Studies Association (PSA), UK (2004). He is a Member of the Nigerian Political Science Association, Political Studies Association, UK; the Group for the Study of International Social sciences, International Political Science Association and its Human Rights Research Committee, International Association of University Human Rights Teachers, the West African Research. Innovations and Management Association (WARIMA) and African council of distance education.)

Mrs Ifeanyi Chukwuma

Currently the Managing Director of Performance Frontiers Ltd., Mrs Chukwuma is a seasoned management consultant in Strategy & Performance for public and private sector organisations. With an over 20-year background in ICT, Sales Consulting, programmes development/delivery for the Lagos Business School in the areas of ICT, organisational behaviour and performance management and the implementation of strategy, systems, people and process frameworks, Mrs Chuwuma has made significant contributions to both the Nigerian SME space as well as MDAs to tackle key issues that challenge the achievement of their mandates or vision. Mrs Ify Chukwuma is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School; She has an MBA and holds an MSc in Computer Science in addition to her BSc in Chemistry.)

Barrister Dauda Kigbu

With about two decades of a distinguished career in the private sector, Barr. Kigbu joined the public service in 2006 and rose to the enviable position of a permanent secretary in the Federal Civil Service, a position he held for almost six years. He has served in various MDA’s namely; the Bureau for Public Service Reforms, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development and the Ministry of Works. A lawyer by training and a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (mni).)
